Terms of Service for icook
Effective Date: October 2026
Last Updated: October 2026
Welcome to icook. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our mobile application, website, and private dining concierge services operated by icook Platform & Partners LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing our website, downloading our mobile application, or engaging our concierge services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
---
1. Marketplace & Platform Role
icook operates a curated technology platform and white-glove concierge marketplace connecting private dining hosts with independent culinary professionals (Chefs, Sommeliers, and Beverage Specialists).
While icook conducts culinary background vetting, hygiene credential reviews, and manages escrow billing, all participating culinary creators operate as independent contractors and not as employees or agents of the Company.
---
2. Inquiries & Banquet Event Orders (BEO)
* Reservation Inquiries: Submitting an event request in-app initiates a bespoke coordination process with the icook Concierge team. Inquiries do not constitute a confirmed booking until formal execution and deposit authorization.
* Banquet Event Order (BEO): Once your event specifications (course menus, guest headcounts, date, venue location, and custom culinary talent) are finalized, a formal BEO is generated and presented in-app for your review and confirmation.
---
3. Financial Terms, Deposits & Card-on-File Policy
* 25% Booking Deposit: To officially confirm a calendar date and secure culinary talent, a non-refundable twenty-five percent (25%) booking deposit is due upon BEO confirmation.
Card-on-File Authorization: By confirming the BEO and paying the initial deposit, you authorize icook to securely place your payment method on file to automatically charge the remaining seventy-five percent (75%) event balance plus any agreed-upon day-of incidental adjustments following event completion.
* Cancellations & Rescheduling: Cancellations made more than fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled event date may receive a credit toward a future booking at the Company's sole discretion. Cancellations within fourteen (14) days forfeit the 25% deposit to compensate talent provisioning and reserved calendar dates.
---
4. Host Responsibilities & Venue Safety
Hosts are responsible for providing a clean, safe, and accessible kitchen space with functioning cooking appliances, refrigeration, running water, and electricity.
Hosts must disclose all critical dietary allergies and food restrictions prior to final menu confirmation. icook and its partner chefs are not responsible for allergic reactions resulting from undisclosed dietary restrictions.
---
5. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, logos, trademarks, and software code associated with icook are the exclusive property of the Company and its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any platform material without prior written permission.
---
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, icook, its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from private dining engagements, food preparation, property damage, or independent contractor acts.
